Join professional potter Rachel Normington for a creative and engaging clay workshop. With over 20 years of experience, Rachel will guide you step by step in crafting your own one-of-a-kind beer stein.
In this class, participants will learn how to hand-build a large, stein-style mug using the slab construction method. Beginning with a pre-cut slab of clay, you’ll explore a variety of stamps and textures to personalize your piece. You will then form the slab into a tall mug, attach a base, and finish it with a custom-designed handle.
At the end of the session, you’ll select a glaze color, and your piece will be professionally finished, fired, and ready for pickup approximately two weeks after the class. All finished pieces will be food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe.
The workshop also includes wine, light snacks, music, and a relaxed, social atmosphere. This event is BYOB
