“Sip ‘n Sculpt” Make a clay Jack-o-Lantern!

Pumpkin Jack-O’-Lantern Clay Workshop 

Join professional potter Rachel Normington for a festive and creative evening of clay at Heart Studio in Windham, NH! Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with wine, snacks, and good company while creating your own handcrafted ceramic jack-o’-lantern.

Each participant will begin with a wheel-thrown 6-inch hollow clay form, professionally prepared by Rachel and ready to be transformed. You’ll learn sculpting and carving techniques as you shape your pumpkin, add textures and decorative details, and create a unique jack-o’-lantern face. A candle opening will be added so your finished piece can glow beautifully throughout the fall season.

Whether you prefer spooky, whimsical, traditional, or completely one-of-a-kind, you’ll have the freedom to customize your pumpkin and make it truly your own.

Once your design is complete, you’ll select from a collection of glaze colors, and Rachel will professionally finish, glaze, and fire your piece. Your completed pumpkin will be ceramic-safe for a candle, and ready for pickup approximately two weeks after the workshop.

• One wheel-thrown clay pumpkin form per person
• All clay, tools, materials, glazing, and firing
• Professional instruction from Rachel Normington
• Wine and light snacks (BYOB welcome)

Please Note: This workshop is priced slightly higher than many of my other classes due to the extensive preparation required to create each wheel-thrown pumpkin form before the event. This is consistently one of my most popular seasonal workshops, and spaces tend to fill quickly, so early registration is recommended.

By purchasing tickets you agree to these terms:

One person per ticket per project, space in studio is limited. Please contact me for special circumstances.

No refunds or rescheduling into a different class. I have already prepped your clay and might not have enough time to fill your space if you cannot attend. However, it is ok for YOU to resell or gift your ticket to someone else. Think of it like buying a concert ticket, you cannot return tickets, but you can resell them.

I currently teach these workshops in 2 different locations, please make sure you have the right location when signing up so that you don’t accidentally go to the wrong place at the time of the workshop.

Clay is unpredictable and I can only do so much to ensure the finished project after you leave the workshop. Sometimes pieces warp, explode in the kiln or just fall apart if you did not follow the instructions correctly. I do my best to glue things back together if I can. Chances are slim that something might break but I am not responsible for clay mishaps that are out of my control.

Must be 21+ to bring and/or consume alcohol at this event.
