“Sip ‘n Sculpt” Make a Fruit bowl with coil technique at Windham Junction!

Come to Windham Junction and learn from clay Artist Rachel Normington owner of Twist of Fate pottery. She will be teaching an ancient technique called coil building where we will form our own bowls out of decorative clay coils. She will start with a demonstration and then give you the tools and materials necessary to create your own one of a kind coil bowl however you’d like. The basic structure of the bowl will be made using clay coils, but you can get creative with the collection of decorating tools to do what you would like to your bowl. When finished, leave it to dry and pick a glaze color. The bowls will be fired and completely dishwasher/microwave safe and ready for pickup 2 weeks after the workshop. I also provide wine and snacks but BYOB is also welcome!

One person per ticket per project, space in studio is limited. Please contact me for special circumstances.

No refunds or rescheduling into a different class. I have already prepped your clay and might not have enough time to fill your space if you cannot attend. However, it is ok for YOU to resell or gift your ticket to someone else. Think of it like buying a concert ticket, you cannot return tickets, but you can resell them.

I currently teach these workshops in 2 different locations, please make sure you have the right location when signing up so that you don’t accidentally go to the wrong place at the time of the workshop.

Clay is unpredictable and I can only do so much to ensure the finished project after you leave the workshop. Sometimes pieces warp, explode in the kiln or just fall apart if you did not follow the instructions correctly. I do my best to glue things back together if I can. Chances are slim that something might break but I am not responsible for clay mishaps that are out of my control.

Must be 21+ to bring and/or consume alcohol at this event.
