Sip ‘n Sculpt: Make a Pinch-Pot Person Planter at Windham Junction!

Sculpt a Pinch Pot Person Planter Workshop with Rachel Normington

Join ceramic artist Rachel Normington, owner of Twist of Fate Pottery, for a creative and hands-on clay workshop where you’ll design and sculpt your very own face and bust fully functional planter. They will be so cute when finished and planted with a cascading plant to look like hair!
Each participant will begin with a couple balls of soft clay that Rachel has prepared in advance. After a brief demonstration, you’ll be guided through shaping the bowls using the pinch pot method, then refining, and decorating your piece using a wide variety of professional pottery tools and textures. You will be altering the pinch pots into a head and shoulders, but you’ll have plenty of creative freedom to personalize your face—add surface designs, and features to make it truly one-of-a-kind.
Once finished, you’ll select your glaze color and leave your piece with Rachel to dry, be fired, and glazed. Your completed planter will become ceramic, able to hold a plant forever, and ready for pickup approximately two weeks after the workshop.
Wine and light snacks will be provided, and BYOB is welcome.
Whether you’re new to clay or a seasoned maker, this workshop offers a relaxed, fun environment to explore pottery and create something beautiful and useful.

Each ticket is valid for one person and one project. Studio space is limited—please contact Rachel in advance for special circumstances.
No refunds or rescheduling. Clay and materials are prepared specifically for your reservation. You may, however, resell or gift your ticket if you are unable to attend.
Workshops are held at two different locations—please double-check that you select the correct location when registering.
Clay is a natural material and occasional imperfections or kiln mishaps can occur. While every effort is made to ensure successful results, Rachel cannot be responsible for issues beyond her control.
Must be 21+ to bring and/or consume alcohol.
