Sip ‘n Sculpt: Make a Spring Flower Clay Wreath!

Spring Clay Workshop at Windham Junction

Join professional potter Rachel Normington for a fun and creative spring clay workshop! With over 20 years of experience working with clay, Rachel will guide you through the process of creating your own unique wreath-shaped wall hanging.

We’ll begin with a hand-rolled clay slab, cut into a donut shape (approximately 8” across). From there, the design is completely up to you! Rachel will demonstrate several techniques for creating beautiful clay flowers, and you’ll also have access to a wide variety of stamps and cookie cutters to add texture and personality. Finish your piece with a sweet phrase, butterflies, ladybugs, or any design that inspires you.

Once your piece is complete, it will be professionally glazed in your choice of six colors, giving it a durable, glossy finish suitable for indoor or outdoor display. Pieces will be fired and ready for pickup approximately two weeks after the workshop.

This workshop is designed for all skill levels, ages 12 and up. Light snacks and wine will be provided—or feel free to BYOB!

By purchasing tickets you agree to these terms:

One person per ticket per project, space in studio is limited. Please contact me for special circumstances.

No refunds or rescheduling into a different class. I have already prepped your clay and might not have enough time to fill your space if you cannot attend. However, it is ok for YOU to resell or gift your ticket to someone else. Think of it like buying a concert ticket, you cannot return tickets, but you can resell them.

I currently teach these workshops in 2 different locations, please make sure you have the right location when signing up so that you don’t accidentally go to the wrong place at the time of the workshop.

Clay is unpredictable and I can only do so much to ensure the finished project after you leave the workshop. Sometimes pieces warp, explode in the kiln or just fall apart if you did not follow the instructions correctly. I do my best to glue things back together if I can. Chances are slim that something might break but I am not responsible for clay mishaps that are out of my control.

Must be 21+ to bring and/or consume alcohol at this event.
