Sip ‘n Sculpt: Make a Swirled Chip and Dip bowl!

Chip and Dip Platter Workshop with Rachel Normington

Join ceramic artist Rachel Normington, owner of Twist of Fate Pottery, for a creative and hands-on clay workshop where you’ll design and decorate your very own functional chip and dip platter.
Each participant will begin with a large round slab of soft clay that Rachel has prepared in advance. After a brief demonstration, you’ll be guided through shaping, refining, and decorating your piece using a wide variety of professional pottery tools and textures. While the slab size/shape is established, you will be altering the large slab into the swirled shape and you’ll have plenty of creative freedom to personalize your platter—add surface designs, and a small dip bowl to make it truly one-of-a-kind.
Once finished, you’ll select your glaze color and leave your piece with Rachel to dry, be fired, and glazed. Your completed platter will be food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe, and ready for pickup approximately two weeks after the workshop.
Wine and light snacks will be provided, and BYOB is welcome.
Whether you’re new to clay or a seasoned maker, this workshop offers a relaxed, fun environment to explore pottery and create something beautiful and useful.

Each ticket is valid for one person and one project. Studio space is limited—please contact Rachel in advance for special circumstances.
No refunds or rescheduling. Clay and materials are prepared specifically for your reservation. You may, however, resell or gift your ticket if you are unable to attend.
Workshops are held at two different locations—please double-check that you select the correct location when registering.
Clay is a natural material and occasional imperfections or kiln mishaps can occur. While every effort is made to ensure successful results, Rachel cannot be responsible for issues beyond her control.
Must be 21+ to bring and/or consume alcohol.
